Your conversations live on your computer. Not on ours.
ThreadWave is local-first: messages, media, call logs and recordings are stored encrypted on your own machine. Our relay passes new messages through and forgets them.
Encrypted at rest
An encrypted local database and encrypted media files, with keys kept in your OS keychain.
No cloud copy
The relay deletes each event as soon as your app confirms it arrived — 7 days at most if you’re offline.
You hold the keys
Access tokens stay in your keychain. App lock, retention rules and one-click erase are under your control.
Why local-first?
Cloud inboxes keep a copy of every conversation on their servers. With ThreadWave there is no central archive of your customers’ messages to leak, sell or subpoena.
- Data stays on hardware you control
- Retention rules you set
- Delete all local data in one step
How privacy & security works
Event arrives
Meta sends a new message or call event to the ThreadWave relay over TLS.
Pass-through
The relay verifies Meta’s signature and forwards it to your desktop straight away.
Delete
As soon as your app confirms delivery, the relay’s copy is deleted.
Encrypt
The message is written to an encrypted database on your machine. That’s the only copy we touch.
The details that matter
What privacy & security actually does, in specifics.
Messages, contacts and call logs in an encrypted local database.
Access tokens and encryption keys never sit in plain files.
Meta → relay → desktop over encrypted connections.
Deleted on delivery; 7 days at most if your computer stays offline.
Every event from Meta is checked against its signature.
Delete all local data whenever you choose.
